Introducing TrailGuard: Nature is Now Watching

Our new website is live: www.nightjar.tech

TrailGuard is Nightjar’s flagship innovation: a compact, real-time alert system built for frontline conservation and security. Designed for deployment in remote and challenging environments, it has been tested, refined, and proven where it matters most.

By detecting wildlife, people, or vehicles in sensitive areas, TrailGuard provides alerts that help intercept poachers, reduce conflict, and safeguard endangered species and communities. The AI embedded in the camera automatically distinguishes between types of activity, sending verified alerts via mobile app or email to enable faster and more focused response. This added visibility empowers frontline teams with greater situational awareness and tools that support coexistence between people and nature. I can also support security and safety for infrastructure projects, especially in remote areas.

TrailGuard has evolved from prototype to field-proven system. We have deployed it in tropical forests, savannahs, and mountainous terrain across countries like India, Indonesia, and Guinea, to monitor endangered species, manage forest access, and detect illegal activity. These deployments have improved response times, reduced conflict incidents, and helped protect biodiversity. This field testing helped us improve durability, camouflage, and ease of setup and maintenance, ensuring TrailGuard delivers strong results with minimal complexity.

While working with field teams, I saw firsthand how much of a difference smart, scalable tools like TrailGuard can make. TrailGuard offers fast deployment and autonomous AI-powered monitoring, delivering dependable, 24/7 coverage with minimal manpower. Its advantages over traditional methods—such as foot patrols or manual camera traps—include greater reliability, faster detection, and the ability to capture critical moments without constant human oversight. The system monitored key access routes and activity hotspots, triggered timely alerts, and enabled rangers to act with speed and precision, delivering tangible impact when it mattered most.

“The cutting-edge technology of TrailGuard complements and leverages our existing tools to create an incredibly powerful new way to protect wildlife and their habitats.”

With testing complete, TrailGuard is entering a new chapter. Production is scaling up, preorders are underway, and interest is growing across conservation and other sectors. We’re collaborating with mission-aligned NGOs, funders, technology innovators, and corporate partners to expand its impact. The momentum is building.

Our new website tells this story: what’s been achieved, what’s next, and how to be part of it.

TrailGuard can make a difference wherever early warning matters—intercepting poachers, protecting species, empowering frontline teams, and enhancing safety and site security. If this technology can help you, we’d love to connect and help scale its impact.
