Nightjar LLC is a Washington, DC–based social benefit enterprise dedicated to building durable, cutting-edge technology for conservation. Our mission: to protect endangered species, reduce human-wildlife conflict, combat wildlife poaching and illegal logging, and safeguard Indigenous communities.
TrailGuard is Nightjar’s first product—an advanced AI-powered alert system designed for deployment in the most remote and challenging environments.
Nightjar emerged from the Conservation Solutions program at RESOLVE, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our name comes from the nightjar (Caprimulgus europaeus), an elusive nocturnal bird known for its stealth and extraordinary night vision. Like its namesake, TrailGuard operates silently and effectively in low-light conditions—capturing what others miss.
The cutting-edge technology of TrailGuard complements and leverages our existing tools to create an incredibly powerful new way to protect wildlife and their habitats."
